ABOUT ME

Howdy! My name is Cristian Aguirre and I am a Dallas based multidisciplinary photographer. I began my photography journey in college while studying mechanical engineering at Texas A&M University. While I had dabbled in photography earlier in my life, it wasn't until I had entered my junior year that my love of photography took a hold of me. I had come to the realization that engineering wasn't for me but I had gone too far to turn around.

I needed some kind of escape, so I decided to pick a camera up. Being a broke college student, I took a huge financial risk, nearly maxing out my credit card to purchase my first DSLR. Little did I know this would be the best decision I would ever make. The rest was history. Photography was all I thought about and all I wanted to do. I eventually found myself in the privileged position to be a part of The Battalion, the university newspaper. There I was able to learn and grow as a photographer while exploring photojournalism and sports photography. Since graduating from Texas A&M I have transitioned to developing my skills and growing as an artist.

As a photographer, I treasure having the ability to explore new subjects and mediums. Some would say find your "Thing", but I push back against that notion. Art, just like Life is about exploration and I want my work to authentically reflect that freedom to explore. Whether its street photography, music/concert photography, nature/wildlife photography, or portraits, nothing is off limits. As of late, my love and passion for nature has grown immensely and therefore my work has transitioned to be focused on capturing its beauty. I'm excited to see where this path takes me and I would love for you to follow me on this artistic journey!
